The City of Perrysburg has added another snowplow route to help get the streets cleared faster. A snowplow committee, established by the Department of Public Service, has been working hard to ensure they provide the best snow removal service for the community. One of the committee's goals for the 2023-2024 snow season was to add an eighth snowplow route.

“The combination of the City’s growth as well as the need to clear the streets efficiently and in a timely manner to create safer conditions were contributing factors to adding that eighth route,” said Rob Ross, Director of Public Service.

The snowplow committee, made up of four Public Service crew members along with the Director of Public Service, the Deputy Director and the Operations Manager, created the eight routes in a collaborative effort.

“It was a great opportunity to have the crew members who actually do the work to give their input on this committee,” said Ross.

Having this extra route will reduce the amount of time it will take to plow all the roads within the City limits. The City has had a total of seven snowplow routes over the past eight years.
