Emergency Services

Services include but are not limited to fire suppression, emergency medical services, entrapment extrication, car crashes, technical rescues, water rescues, and confined space rescues. 

Fire Suppression and Technical Rescue Services
Perrysburg Fire Division’s fire apparatus includes 3 Engines, 1 Tower/Ladder, 1 Boat, 1 Utility Truck and 1 Hazmat Trailer.  Fire apparatus are equipped with but not limited to water, various sized hoses and nozzles, hydraulic and air rescue tools, saws and assorted hand tools, rope, and hardware.  All fire department members are State of Ohio certified firefighters and are required to maintain their classification throughout their career.  

Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
Perrysburg Fire Division operates two fully staffed Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulances and one reserve ambulance.  With the department run average above 80% being of the medical nature, the department strategically locates ALS medic units at each fire station.  All full-time members of the department are required to become State of Ohio Certified Paramedics (EMT‐P) and maintain their classification throughout their career.  Our Paramedics provide state-of-the-art care to all those who live, work, shop, and pass through our community.  Some of the procedures and interventions performed include intravenous access (IV's), 12 Lead EKG monitoring, capnography (measuring oxygen in the blood), blood glucose tests, spinal immobilizing, and aerosol breathing treatments.  PFD also provides several free services which include invalid assists and blood pressure screenings.  PFD will respond to our resident’s homes and help to assist them free of charge providing they are not transported to a hospital.
