CodeRED Emergency Alerts

With the ever-present threat of severe weather, City residents and businesses can register to receive timely notifications regarding critical incidents as well as severe weather alerts via the City’s Emergency Communications Network (ECN) - CodeRED notification system.

CodeRED provides the City of Perrysburg with the ability notify citizens in the event of emergency situations or critical community alerts. Examples include: evacuation notices, bio-terrorism alerts, boil water notices, road closures, and missing child reports. This information will remain the property of ECN and will not be disclosed unless compelled to do so by a court of sufficient jurisdiction. CodeRED also provides a unique weather warning service that automatically notifies citizens in the path of severe weather just moments after a warning has been issued by the National Weather Service.

coderedCodeRED is available to the citizens of Perrysburg at no cost. Registering to receive CodeRED alerts will allow residents to choose how they will receive these alerts including telephone calls to either home (land line) phones, cellular phones, text messages, or e-mails.

Residents may also choose the types of alerts that they want to receive including general notifications, emergency notifications, or severe weather alerts or any combination of these alerts.
