New Artwork at Perrysburg Sculpture Walk

September 20, 2023

The Perrysburg Sculpture Walk continues into the 2023-2024 season with a few new pieces along with some favorites. The walk is largely a continuation of the sculptures from 2022 with some modifications to refresh the exhibit lineup. A total of 14 sculptures can be viewed at Woodlands Park, 429 E. Boundary St., along the perimeter and entryway.

Four sculptures were removed and replaced with three new ones. They are “Palette” and “Harp” by artist Mike Sohikian, a retired ironworker from Genoa, Ohio. The third one is "Lupine" by Pamela Reithmeier of Monclova, Ohio. The removed sculptures were slated for other exhibits.

"The new sculptures add a freshness to the exhibit while maintaining the wonderful works of art that have been popular this past year,” said Robin Ballmer, curator for the Perrysburg Sculpture Walk.

The Perrysburg Sculpture Walk is a collaborative effort between the City of Perrysburg and Main ART-ery, curator and manager of the exhibit. Southeastern Equipment donated the use of a telehandler to remove and replace the sculptures.

Docent tours are available for free and can be scheduled by contacting Robin Ballmer at mainarteryinfo@gmail.com or text 419.902.2782.
