Perrysburg City Council Approves DORA

On September 1, Perrysburg City Council voted to approve certain amendments to the Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA) submitted by the Downtown Businesses.

Some key points include:
> the DORA boundaries include Louisiana Avenue from Front to Third Street; and,Third Street to Burlingwood;
> the DORA will be reviewed by City Council in one year to determine whether to continue the DORA under the initial terms or to modify those terms;
> the applicants for the DORA must form a corporate entity (corporation or limited liability company) prior to the opening of the DORA;
> signage for the DORA must be reviewed and approved by the Historic Landmarks Commission and be in compliance with Perrysburg Codified Ordinances;
> cups must be no larger than 16 oz;
> Hours will be 12:00 pm - 10:00 p.m. 7 days a week with all DORA beverages to be disposed of no later than 11:00 p.m.;
> If additional safety forces during special events are needed as determined by the Chief of Police / Director of Public Safety, cost may be attributed to the permit holders; if additional sanitation collection is needed, that cost is also passed on.
