2023 Resurfacing Project

July 5, 2023

The 2023 resurfacing project is underway in the City of Perrysburg. This year’s project is focusing on resurfacing and curb repairs on 17 streets. Here are the locations:

Village Square Hull Prairie Farms Harbor Town Meadow Creek
Craig Drive
Village Square Drive
Prairie Farms Road
Prairie Rose Drive
Golden Rod Lane
Sunflower Court
Miamis Lane
Harbor Town Boulevard
Lighthouse Way
Twinbrook Drive
Mark Lane
Streamview Drive
Running Brook Lane
Wolf Creek Court
Timbercreek Court
Foxview Court
Marie Place

Work at each of these locations will include spot curb repairs, curb ramp replacements and resurfacing. Drive apron replacements will also be done on Marie Place. The general sequence of construction will be as follows:

  • Concrete sidewalk and curb removals
  • Pour concrete sidewalk and curbs
  • Topsoil, seed and mulch areas disturbed by the concrete work
  • Mill and resurface the roads

Work will start at Harbor Town Boulevard and Lighthouse Way on or about July 10.  All roads will remain open during construction, but motorists may see flaggers directing traffic. There will also temporarily be no parking on the affected streets and some sidewalks will be closed. Work is expected to be completed by the end of October.

In the areas that are topsoiled, seeded and mulched, homeowners are asked to help with maintenance. There are several steps that we recommend:

  • Watering – Once you see grass sprouting, keep the top 1”-2” of soil moist until the grass is 3”-4” tall. Dried out grass seed will not germinate.
  • Mowing – Wait for the grass to be 3 ½"-4” tall before the first mowing. After that, regular mowing will help promote fresh and healthy growth.
  • Fertilizing – The area was hydro seeded with fertilizer to help with the initial growth. If you fertilize your lawn, wait 6-8 weeks before fertilizing again.
  • Weeding – Pull or mow weeds as needed. If your lawn has weed control applications, wait until the new grass has been cut at least four times before applying it.
