Perrysburg Police Division Investigates Check Thefts
The Perrysburg Police Division, along with several other local and federal law enforcement agencies, are actively investigating the theft of checks and the fraudulent cashing of those checks. These crimes are widespread and cross numerous jurisdictions.
The Perrysburg Police Division is currently working alongside its Federal Law Enforcement partners to investigate these crimes.
If you believe you have written a check that has been fraudulently cashed, has been mailed and not received by the receiving party, or you see suspicious activity around a mailbox or mailboxes, please contact your local law enforcement agency to make a report.
The Perrysburg Police Division would like to remind citizens to be aware of their surroundings during the holidays and to monitor their bank and credit accounts for any suspicious activity.
