July 15, 2020 is the due date to...

  • File your 2019 income tax return with the City of Perrysburg and pay any balance due;
  • File your 2019 Federal Extension form with the City of Perrysburg, if applicable, and submit your extension payment if any income tax is due the city;
  • Submit your 2020 first & second quarter estimated income tax payment.

The City of Perrysburg levies a tax of 1.5% on all salaries, wages, commissions and other compensation, and on net profits earned within the city, as well as on income of residents earned outside the city. Employers within the city are required to withhold income tax on employee compensation and remit the tax to the city either monthly or quarterly, as specified by ordinance.

The City of Perrysburg Income Tax Division is responsible for the processing of tax payments received via online filing, mail and personal delivery. In addition, the Income Tax Division is responsible for auditing of all City of Perrysburg income tax returns and account reconciliations.

The staff at the Tax Division are available to assist you with any city income tax-related needs, including preparation of your Perrysburg city return. Our office is open 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday. No appointment is necessary. Walk-ins are welcome. Be sure to bring your Federal return and all related schedules, along with your W-2 forms and/or 1099 forms.

Income Tax Division Mission Statement

  • To administer and collect the municipal income tax for the City of Perrysburg, as prescribed by ordinance, in an efficient and thorough manner.

  • To provide timely and appropriate reports regarding total income tax collections to internal and external persons, departments, divisions, and agencies.

Interest Rate for Tax Years Beginning On or After January 1, 2016
The interest rate to be applied to all unpaid income and withholding tax balances for tax years beginning on or after January 1, 2016 is being published in accordance with Ohio Revised Code 718. The rate listed below does not apply to tax balances for any prior tax years, regardless of when they are filed, which are still subject to the interest rate as stated in Chapter 890 of Perrysburg's municipal income tax ordinance which covers tax years beginning prior to January 1, 2016.

The interest rate in effect for the 2020 tax year is 7% per annum (0.58% per month).
The interest rate in effect for the 2019 tax year is 7% per annum (0.58% per month).
The interest rate in effect for the 2018 tax year is 6% per annum (0.50% per month).
The interest rate in effect for the 2017 tax year is 6% per annum (0.50% per month).
The interest rate in effect for the 2016 tax year is 5% per annum (0.42% per month).
