Safety Town

The purpose of Safety Town is to teach basic safety education focusing on pedestrian, bicycle, bus, and recreational safety. Children who will be entering kindergarten or first grade are strongly encouraged to attend this worthwhile program.

Safety Town Information
  • Safety Town will be held at Woodland Elementary School and will run from June 3 - 14, 2024.
  • The morning session will begin at 9 AM and end at 11 AM. THIS SESSION IS NOW FULL
  • The afternoon session will begin at 12 PM and end at 2 PM.
  • Closing exercises for both sessions will be held in the morning on Friday, June 14, 2024.

Registration and payments take place online through RecDesk. This is the same online portal that is used for Summer Recreation Programs. If you signed up your child for Summer Rec through that website, you can log in with the same username and password. If you forgot your password, click "forgot password" to reset it. If this will be your first time using the online portal, you will need to follow the steps to create an account.

Registration opens on January 1, 2024 and will close once it is full.

The Safety Town program is presented for the Perrysburg school children by the City of Perrysburg with the cooperation of the Perrysburg Police Division. All teachers and police officers are fully certified. Children planning to attend Safety Town must live or attend school in the Perrysburg School District.

Payment
  • There is a $35.00 fee to help defray such costs as materials, snacks and drinks, special events, equipment, and personnel.
  • All payments are to be made online during registration.
  • If the fee creates a hardship, please contact Officer Charles Sims at the Police Station.
Forms

The registration and emergency medical form will both be completed online when you register your child. If you are registering more than one child, you will need to register each one individually.
