2022 Resurfacing Project Complete

October 12, 2022

The 2022 resurfacing project is now complete in the City of Perrysburg. This year’s project focused on resurfacing and curb repairs on five streets. Those streets included Rivercrest Drive, Eckel Junction Road, Fawn Circle, Laurel Lane and Five Point Road.

Some areas in the right-of-way in front of homes in the work zones have been seeded. Now, the city recommends homeowners take these steps on maintaining the new grass that will grow:

Watering – Once you see grass sprouting, keep the top 1”-2” of soil moist until the grass is 3”-4” tall. Dried out grass seed will not germinate.

Mowing – Wait for the grass to be 3 ½"-4” tall before the first mowing. After that, regular mowing will help promote fresh and healthy growth.

Fertilizing – The area was hydro seeded with fertilizer to help with the initial growth. If you fertilize your lawn, wait 6-8 weeks before fertilizing again.

Weeding – Pull or mow weeds as needed. If your lawn has weed control applications, wait until the new grass has been cut at least four times before applying it.
