Clean Your Streams Day

(PERRYSBURG, OH) Partners for Clean Streams hosted its 26th annual Clean Your Streams Day on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at several locations around Northwest Ohio. The event gathers volunteers to remove debris from rivers, streams, and lakes.
The Perrysburg kickoff was held at Woodlands Park where volunteers met at 8 a.m. to get their supplies and assigned waterway site to clean up. Stormwater Technician Lauren Rush from the Department of Public Utilities organized Perrysburg’s event. Groups who participated included: Country Garden Club of Perrysburg, Bass Pro Shops in Rossford, Thompson Scholars from Bowling Green State University, KWEST group, and local families.
In Perrysburg, there were:
57 volunteers
7 sites cleaned up
49 bags of garbage weighing a total of 1,210 lbs.
Partners for Clean Streams sends this data to the Ocean Conservancy for inclusion in International Coastal Cleanup records.
