Forecasted Heavy Snow

Municipal Offices Closed

Municipal offices will be closed Thursday, February 3 and Friday, February 4 due to the forecasted heavy snow.

The City of Perrysburg has expanded its remote work capabilities throughout the past 2 years giving non-emergency municipal employees the ability to work from home when needed. Employees working from home on these days can be reached by email. Employees will be monitoring main phone lines and will return phone calls when they are able.

911 calls will still be answered by the Police Department.

Emergency personnel and employees from the Department of Public Service and the Department of Public Utilities will report to their respective buildings in order to respond to emergency situations, keep critical services in operation, and clear the roads of snow.

Refuse & Recycling Routes

Refuse and recycling routes for Thursday, February 3 and Friday, February 4 will be pushed back one (1) day. Thursday’s collection will take place on Friday, February 4, and Friday’s collection will take place on Saturday, February 5.

This one-time delay allows the Department of Public Service to better-allocate resources to deal with the forecasted heavy snow.

On-Street Parking

In an effort to clear the roads of the forecasted heavy snow, the Department of Public Service is asking residents to please not park their vehicles on the road beginning Wednesday evening.

Snowplows will be able to clean the roads more easily if they do not need to navigate around parked vehicles. If a vehicle is parked on the road when a snowplow comes by, the vehicle may be partially buried in snow making it difficult to get to the parked vehicle should the resident need to get to work or in the event of an emergency.
