CITY OF PERRYSBURG REFUSE FACT SHEET
These Refuse Rules and Regulations are the most current and supercede
those listed in the codified ordinances.
Weekly refuse and recycling must be set out for collection by 7:00 a.m., but not earlier than 6:00 p.m. the previous night. All cans must be removed from the curb and right of way after collection.
- There is no limit on the number of cans or bags placed at the curb.
- Garbage cans should have a tight fitting lid and handles.
- Garbage cans must NOT exceed 45 gallons and 65 pounds.
- Garbage may be put out in heavy gauge plastic bags of at least 2 mils and securely tied or closed at the top.
- Garbage may NOT be placed in cardboard boxes or paper bags.
These items may be placed in regular weekly refuse collection:
- dishwashers
- microwaves
- trash compactors
Special collection are required for the following items:
- basketball poles
- dryers
- metal swing sets
- stoves
- tires
- washers
- water heater
Mattresses must have disposal stickers ($11.55) but not box springs.The mattress, with disposal sticker, and box springs are collected with regular refuse collection. Disposal stickers may be purchased at the Department of Public Service located at 11980 Roachton Road, Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Cash and checks only.
By ordinance, the City of Perrysburg refuse crews CANNOT collect the following items:
- Building materials, including but not limited to: doors, lumber, drywall, windows, kitchen and bathroom fixtures (tubs, sinks and toilets).
- Car and truck batteries
- Fences
- Used motor oil
- Yard waste that is NOT in official City of Perrysburg yard waste bags or tagged
