A TREE PLANTING EVENT
This year is the 25th anniversary of Perrysburg as a Tree City, USA. Perrysburg Rotary Club spearheaded a tree planting program for Rotary Community Park. On Public Lands Day 2009, tree donors and members of Perrysburg Rotary Club planted 58 native species as the start of a mini-arboretum at the newest city park. Parking lots were also installed in the fall of 2009 .
Plans for 2010 include the planting of a Rain Garden at the Fort Meigs entrance in spring. Grant funding, from Wal-Mart, was received for the constuction of the Rain Garden..
