CSX Railroad Crossing Supplemental Safety Measures

Pursuant to an agreement between CSX Railroad, the Ohio Rail Development Commission, the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio and the City of Perrysburg, a project to install new warning gates and lights at the CSX crossing on Walnut, Locust and Elm Streets will be completed during the spring of 2010.  The CSX crossings at Pine, Cherry and Hickory Streets will be permanently closed within sixty (60) days of the installation of the new lights and gates at the other crossings.

These goals are achieved through cooperative programs with Wood County Solid Waste District, utilization of city staff and community organization, for in kind services, financial support and volunteer staffing.
